Smithmore Castle, located on top of a mountain in Spruce Pine, offers an enchanting setting for any wedding, but when it comes to crafting a deeply personal and memorable experience, this venue truly shines. Recently, we had the privilege of planning a stunningly intimate wedding at the castle, where every detail—from floral selections to food and entertainment—was meticulously curated to reflect the couple’s unique style and preferences.

Smithmore Castle’s grandeur and historical charm provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding that is both elegant and personalized. The guest list was intimate giving us a strong eye for detail. From the moment guests arrived, they were immersed in an atmosphere of sophistication and warmth, enhanced by carefully chosen elements that spoke to the couple’s personalities and passions.

The floral arrangements were a highlight of the day, adding a touch of romance and color to the castle’s setting. The bride’s bouquet featured a stunning mix of rich blooms in shades of deep burgundy and soft blush.. Centerpieces on the dining tables were designed to reflect the couple’s love of classic romance, with lush arrangements that added a touch of garden charm to the formal setting.

Dinner was a true gexperience, thanks to Earthworks Catering and the culinary expertise of Chef Ed. Guests were treated to a feast that was as delectable as it was memorable. The evening’s highlight was the grilled venison loin with blueberry demi glace, paired with roasted baby rainbow carrots and grilled marinated vegetables.

After a dinner, the celebration took an exciting turn with a unique form of entertainment. The couple had arranged for a murder mystery troupe from Atlanta to perform, adding an interactive and engaging element to the evening. Guests became part of the mystery, with everyone eagerly participating in solving the whodunit. The lively and immersive performance created a buzz of excitement and laughter, making the night unforgettable and offering a fun twist that perfectly matched the couple’s desire for a memorable experience.

The intimate nature of the wedding allowed for a focus on the details that truly mattered to the couple. Every choice, from the floral designs and menu to the entertainment, was a reflection of their personal tastes and desires. The result was a celebration that felt both grand and intimate and it was entire honor to curate their entire day!
